Cécile Vallée

Longevity & Functional Medicine Health Coach

Brain health, nervous system regulation & lifestyle change

Cécile Vallée’s career has been shaped by a question she formed early in her clinical training: what actually determines whether a patient gets better? Not the diagnosis, not the prescription, but the thousand daily choices that either support or undermine the clinical plan. That question has guided everything she has done since.

She trained as a nurse at IFSI Diaconesses de Reuilly in Paris, qualifying in 2014, and went on to work in the stroke rehabilitation and Alzheimer’s unit at Notre Dame de Bon Secours Hospital, where she provided complex nursing care to patients with brain injury, dementia and neurological conditions. That experience, working at the intersection of neurology, recovery and daily function, gave her both a clinical rigour and a deep appreciation for the human dimensions of illness: what it takes to recover, what holds patients back, and how much of the outcome is determined not by the medical intervention but by everything that surrounds it.

It also gave her a conviction that would define her subsequent career: that brain health, nervous system regulation and lifestyle medicine are not peripheral to clinical care, they are central to it, and they deserve the same evidence-based rigour that medicine applies to everything else.

She moved into health coaching and functional medicine practice, developing expertise in the science of longevity that sits between what doctors prescribe and how patients live. Her areas of specialism reflect both her clinical background and her personal study: brain health and cognitive longevity, nervous system regulation and emotional resilience, circadian rhythm optimisation, functional nutrition, blood-sugar stability, sleep engineering and the sustainable behaviour change that allows patients to hold a new pattern long enough for it to become automatic.

For the past several years she has worked as a longevity and functional medicine health coach and patient care coordinator at the Harpal Clinic, one of London’s most respected functional medicine practices, where she delivered one-to-one coaching alongside physician-led treatment plans, coordinated complex care across multidisciplinary teams, and became skilled in the particular challenge of helping patients bridge the gap between what they are advised to do and what they actually do. Her work is characterised by the same precision she brought to nursing: evidence-informed, highly personalised, and built around the patient’s real life rather than an idealised version of it.

Cécile holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from EPP Paris, her nursing diploma, and ongoing certifications in functional medicine coaching and nutrition. She is fluent in French and English, and brings warmth, analytical intelligence and genuine clinical depth to every patient relationship.

At The Schoeman Clinic, she works directly with patients to implement and sustain the longevity strategies their doctors design, ensuring that the clinical plan becomes a lived reality. She joined because the clinic’s methodology reflects her own conviction: that the most effective medicine is the medicine that actually gets done, day after day, by a patient who understands why it matters.
