The Schoeman Clinic enters a new chapter
Three new doctors join The Schoeman Clinic, each trained to deliver the same four-pillar methodology and standard of care.
The Schoeman Clinic began quietly. No advertising, no launch campaign, just a thousand patients who found their way here through word of mouth and referral. This August, that quiet growth becomes something louder: three new doctors are joining the team, each trained to the same four-pillar Schoeman methodology as every clinician before them.
The simple explanation
Growing a clinic built on a single, repeatable methodology is not the same as simply hiring more doctors. Each new clinician has to be trained to hold all four pillars in full: higher training in conventional medicine, bio-identical hormone therapy, functional medicine and longevity medicine. Dr Nathan Curran, Dr Sonia Tsukagoshi and Dr Nikita Grover join having already built exceptional careers across these disciplines, and now practise them together, under one methodology, as every doctor at the clinic does.
Why this matters to you
More doctors means more capacity, but capacity was never the risk here. The risk with any growing practice is dilution: standards slipping as a team expands. That is precisely what the four-pillar training exists to prevent. Whichever of our doctors a patient sees, the approach is the same: root cause first, symptom management second, the whole person considered rather than one system at a time.
Meet the new doctors
Dr Nathan Curran, Longevity and Functional Medicine Specialist, spent two decades as doctor to some of the City of London’s most demanding institutions, working with organisations including Google, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. That work gave him an unusually precise understanding of what sustained high performance costs the body, and it led him toward the frontier of regenerative and precision medicine: multi-omic diagnostics, hormone optimisation, immune restoration and geroprotective therapies. His expertise has been sought by the Financial Times, British Vogue, Tatler and Harper’s Bazaar, and he has worked across elite sport, including Premier League football, professional cycling and competitive weightlifting.
Dr Sonia Tsukagoshi, Longevity and Functional Medicine Specialist, brings almost twenty years of clinical experience and a question she has built her career around: not just what is wrong, but what is shaping how this person actually lives? Her Masters in Medical Anthropology from SOAS gave her a distinctive lens on the cultural and behavioural forces behind chronic illness and stress. She went on to found and chair the WONCA World Special Interest Group for Integrative Medicine, leading international collaboration on preventative, whole-person care. Her particular strength is sustainable behaviour change, helping patients move past managing symptoms toward resilience that actually holds.
Dr Nikita Grover, Longevity and Functional Medicine Specialist, brings thirty years of clinical experience across hospital medicine, general practice and functional medicine leadership, including a decade in cardiology, gastroenterology and paediatrics, twenty years as a GP partner, and, most recently, Head of Functional Medicine at Lanserhof at The Arts Club, one of Europe’s respected longevity clinics. Her credentials, IFMCP board certification, a Postgraduate Certificate in Genomics with distinction from Cambridge, and training in Mayr Medicine in Austria, sit among the most comprehensive in functional medicine in the country. She began, unusually, by studying the History of Medicine and History of Art at UCL, long before she picked up a stethoscope.
How we think about it
As Dr Gina Schoeman puts it: “whichever door you walk through, you meet the same methodology, the same commitment to finding the root cause rather than managing the symptom, and the same standard that has, until now, brought patients to us by word of mouth alone. Dr Curran, Dr Tsukagoshi and Dr Grover join a team built on a single conviction: that treating the whole person isn’t an alternative approach to medicine. It is simply good medicine.”
Where this is going
Full biographies for each doctor are now live on the website, along with details on how to book with them directly. As the team grows, the method stays exactly as it was designed to be: consistent, whoever is holding the stethoscope.
