How We Assess Neurophysiology and Hormonal Brain

Health Assessment begins with a comprehensive clinical consultation with your doctor, covering the full history of your neurological and cognitive symptoms, their relationship to your hormonal cycle or life stage, your sleep patterns, your stress history, and any previous investigations or treatments.

Neurohormonal blood panel testing may include oestradiol, progesterone, testosterone, SHBG, cortisol, DHEA-S, thyroid function (TSH, free T3, free T4, and thyroid antibodies), fasting insulin, HbA1c, inflammatory markers, homocysteine, vitamin D, B12, folate, ferritin, and omega-3 index. Testing is conducted through The Doctors Laboratory (TDL).

Advanced functional testing through our Diagnostics and Supportive Services may be recommended where the clinical picture warrants it. This may include the Organic Acids Test (OAT), which assesses neurotransmitter metabolism, mitochondrial function, and nutritional sufficiency; gut microbiome analysis through the GI360 test, reflecting the direct influence of the gut-brain axis on neurological health; and environmental toxin testing where exposure is suspected.
