Mycotoxin Testing

Mycotoxins are toxic substances produced by moulds and fungi. They are some of the most common environmental toxins, and exposure can occur through contaminated food, water-damaged buildings, or airborne spores. Unfortunately, mycotoxins are resistant to heat and many food processing methods, which means they can easily make their way into the body.

Mould thrives in warm, damp environments and can grow on almost any surface – including walls, wallpaper, insulation, ceiling tiles, and even within ventilation systems. When this happens, mycotoxins can be released into the air and contribute to a wide range of chronic symptoms.

Why test for mycotoxins?

Mycotoxin exposure has been linked to many health issues, including:

  • Fatigue, brain fog, poor concentration, and confusion
  • Headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, and balance problems
  • Allergies, asthma, and breathing difficulties
  • Digestive symptoms such as nausea, diarrhoea, IBS, or food sensitivities
  • Hormonal and thyroid irregularities, infertility, and menstrual changes
  • Skin issues such as dermatitis
  • Chronic pain conditions including fibromyalgia
  • Immune dysfunction and recurrent infections

How does this test help

Testing for mycotoxins allows us to identify whether mould exposure is contributing to your symptoms. With this information, we can create a personalised treatment plan to support detoxification, reduce exposure, and restore balance to your health.

In summary: If you’ve been struggling with unexplained fatigue, allergies, breathing problems, or neurological symptoms – particularly if you’ve lived or worked in a damp or mouldy environment – mycotoxin testing may provide the missing piece of the puzzle.
